Why is everybody so obsessed when money can't buy us happiness?

The Mollie Shop formerly known as Prince Mollie Moe Bows started because I made more bows than my daughter, Mollie, ever needed. (She still has too many, but who's counting?) I opened a store because I loved what I did and not because I wanted to make money. I did it for the experience and along the way I've met amazing, life changing people. I'm overwhelmed with all the love, help, and connections I've made with other talented artists. I fall in love with each of my creations and pay great attention to detail because that's what makes handmade so special. A few months ago I heard this song on the radio and immediately fell in love because it made me think of my story and most of the handmade community.

It's about the music industry but here's my handmade take on it...

We create with love, we just wanna make the world smile, forget about the price tag. Enjoy right now. The love comes first, the sale comes second.

  1. I sell handmade, buy handmade and love handmade! I feel like this song speaks volumes for the handmade community - creation is about love, not money! Very well said, Cari!
